A Harvard Gemstone Emerges from a Bastion of Ivy League Liberal Leninists

At Harvard, there are 12 upperclassman ‘Houses’. The Houses serve as the foundation for the undergraduate experience at Harvard College. Ninety-eight percent of all undergraduates live in one of the twelve residential Houses. Each House accommodates 350 students with its own dining hall, common rooms, and facilities for academic, recreational, and cultural activities.

Senior, Julie Hartman, Harvard Class of 2022, was chosen by the Headmaster of her House to give a commencement speech — each House Headmaster chooses someone to give a speech. Julie delivered this address on May 3, 2022, at the Harvard Chapel.

Her conservative speech at a bastion of Ivy League leftist teaching, came to the attention of syndicated  talk radio host Dennis Prager. He reached out to Julie and teamed up with her for a podcast called the “Dennis & Julie” show.  In addition Julie 22,  inked a Multimedia Deal at the Salem Media Group where she will host a variety of radio shows and also get her own show on Salem News Channel, its streaming video network.

“Julie represents a new generation of young media professionals, and we are adding some to the Salem platform, proving that even at Harvard you can come out a conservative if you keep your wits about you,” said Salem Senior VP of Spoken Word programming Phil Boyce. “Her story is compelling and even riveting, and will probably be a book and a movie someday.”
