Something is amiss with the W BOSON

Back in the day, we learned about the atom and its parts. There was the proton with sometimes neutron being orbited by an electron. More than likely we had multiples of the aforementioned depending on which element of the periodic table we were describing such as hydrogen, carbon, sulphur, aluminum, etc.

Time went on and scientists decided to look inside those three particles. They found a dozen others one being the Boson. These sub atomic particles, however do not behave by the rules of classic physics - relativity and Einstein’s famous formula. They have their own set of rules called the  “Standard Model of particle physics” and operate in the quantum world.

To better understand those particles and how they relate to one another and the Proton, Neutron and Electron, see the video below.

Just recently, quite by accident and nearly a decade after that last evaluation,  a new analysis suggests one  of these particles is significantly heavier than predicted by the Standard Model. - It was heavy enough to break the know laws of physics.  Silence fell as the physicists absorbed the answer. “This would be a complete change in how we see the world”.

This is a new development in Physics -  as of 2022, and would and is best explained with its significance by the linked
